Refunds & cancellations.

Most of what we make is made to order, which changes what a refund can reasonably mean. This says exactly where the line is.

Cancelling an order

An order can be cancelled in full, with no deduction, until production begins. We confirm the date production is due to begin in writing when the order is placed, so the cut-off is never a matter of recollection.

Once cutting has begun a made-to-order piece cannot be cancelled. By that point the material has been bought and cut to your dimensions, and the piece cannot be sold to anyone else. If something has changed, tell us anyway — we would rather adjust the piece than lose you over it.

If a piece arrives damaged

Check the piece when it arrives. If it is damaged in transit, tell us within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the damage and of the packaging.

We will repair or replace the piece at our cost. For furniture this is almost always the better outcome than a refund — a damaged armchair is usually repairable to new by the people who built it, and returning a crated piece across the country helps nobody.

The 48-hour window is short on purpose. After that, damage cannot be reliably separated from ordinary use in the home, and we would be guessing.

If something is wrong with what we made

A manufacturing fault is ours regardless of when it appears, and is not covered by the window above. Tell us and we will put it right.

How refunds are made

Where a refund is due, it is made to the original payment method — the same card, account or UPI ID the payment came from — unless you ask for something else and we agree it in writing.

Refunds are processed within 5 to 7 business days of being agreed. How long it then takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank, and is usually a further two to three days.

What this does not cover

Natural variation in timber grain, colour and figure is not a fault — it is the material. Nor is the ordinary movement of solid wood with the season, which is why we will tell you honestly when solid timber is the wrong choice for a particular room.

Fabric supplied by you, and pieces altered after delivery by anyone other than us, sit outside this policy.
